Topic Spindle Headstock Rebuild

Machine Tool Resources Ltd were able to successfully strip and replace the main spindle bearings on this XYZ 555 Big Bore lathe on site.

The customer had been complaining of excessive noise and heat generation when running and on disassembly we found ingress of foreign material had caused the bearing to fail.

We were able to quickly source the replacement parts and rebuild the spindle to within OEM specifications.

Bearing preloads correctly set and spindle headstock run-in on site and monitored through out.
