Relocation and Commission Of complex Millturn CNC

A recent machine relocation from Somerset to Greater Manchester with challenging aspects!

Machine Tool Resources were able to take on and coordinate the whole process of machine relocation for our client, ensuring a smooth transition between company sites and minimum loss of production time.

Preparation before transport included the securing of all axes with transit brackets, as well as supplying the necessary lifting points. Having decommissioned the machine we took this opportunity to steam clean the entire coolant tank system, clean and ready for use at the new site.

Limited space and access presented challenges extracting the 13000Kg machine from the building, however these were all overcome quickly and safely by Blackmores Machinery Haulage. Once removed from site we were able to recommission other machines belonging to the customer that had been moved.

Once sited in its new location the machine was fully installed & levelled, before carrying out a full geometry check, including spindle realignments.
